Experience
Amjad is a partner of Grant Thornton Bangladesh with more than 20 years of pre-qualification (including chartered accountancy training) and post-qualification experience. He's also the Head of IT of the Firm. He possesses quite a unique skill-set: a chartered accountant with vast expertise in information systems. He qualified as a chartered accountant in 2011. In 2012 he received the CISA certification (Certified Information Systems Auditor) from ISACA, USA. Amjad is also a certified ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor awarded by PECB of the UK. He has acquired experience in auditing & assurance services, valuations, internal audit, business risk services, and Information Systems development & audit.
Amjad joined HYC in July 2015 with a view to utilizing his experience in the financial sector & aptitude in Information Systems to explore new horizons. In 2018 he became a partner of the Firm. Before joining Howladar Yunus & Co, Amjad had worked as the Head of Finance & Company Secretary in Southeast Bank Capital Services Limited which is the Merchant Banking operation of Southeast Bank Limited.
He is an active member of the ICT Committee of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh. He also served as a member of the board of the ISACA Dhaka Chapter.
